In 2017, the Festive Exchange was replaced by the Festive Greetings.
To celebrate the season and its festivities, all members were invited to make a card,
small keepsake or a Christmas tree decoration. Created in their choice of fibre,
colour and technique, when it was finished, a photograph was taken and posted to
the Festive album for everyone to enjoy before it was kept or given to someone special.
Right: Greetings using a sample of kumihimo braid weaving by Bridget Paish, from Gloucestershire
A card made combining some woven samples, scraps from a 2015 dyeing workshop,
some lazy stitching from the 2016 boro and sashiki workshop and a few random beads and glue!
Annie Perkins - from the Cotswolds
Knitted lace inset in hand printed card.
by Chris Jordan - from Cheshire
Christmas colours on the loom from Barbara Scott from Guelph, Canada
Felted and Stitched Poinsettia from Heather Seddon, Cumbria
Season's Greetings from Pat Griffiths from Ceredigion, Mid Wales
The card paper was made in Summer school and the design needle woven and stitched, which
reminded me of the sewing cards of my childhood, where you stitched through holes to make pictures.
Lace for All Seasons, a greeting from Juliet Lane from Shropshire.
